Nasser Kilada & Murat Denizkusu

Nasser Kilada grew up amidst traditional Coptic music in Egypt. After a five-year study of classical music at the Helvan University in Cairo, he discovered his love for Black music. Initially as a performer with an international repertoire (reggae, soul and jazz), Nasser Kilada soon found his own style. As a singer of modern Egyptian pop music, he was held in high esteem in his home country until the end of the eighties. Since 1989, Nasser Kilada has been living in Berlin, where he  has gradually won a solid fan base through various projects and bands.

Murat Denizkusu discovered his love for rhythms of the Middle East very early in his life. He played at first with various Turkish traditional bands and then but also developed a passion for Indian and Arabic rhythms. He plays Tabla, Duff, Tombac and Bendir.
