This event will be held in German.

On some occasions we realize we are "different" from the people around us, and sometimes we want it that way. On other occasions, otherness is attributed to us from the outside, whether we like it or not. And we ourselves, for whichever motivations, also describe certain people as "different", which in turn has very different implications.

The symposium consists of lectures, discussions and workshops from differing perspectives on the topic of "otherness" and places a particular emphasis on religious or worldview-based otherness. The symposium seeks to provide strategies for dealing with this issue in school and other contexts of child and youth work.

There are also opportunities to speak with many members of the Werkstatt Religions and Worldviews: Alevis, Baha'i, Buddhists, Christians, Humanists, Muslims, Jews, Neo-Pagans and Sikhs.
