20 Years MediBerlin: We Are (Not) Honored!

Panel Discussion

An occasion to argue and to celebrate! For 20 years, we have been committed to the fight for medical care for all people regardless of residence status. In our practical support of migrants and our political work we have demonstrated great staying power. A reason to celebrate!

20 years MediBüro is also a reason for criticism of conditions and a self-critical review. We have not been able to make our project superfluous. Instead, volunteering in the context of the current refugee policy has become even more indispensable. We demand equal rights for all. At the same time, we organize medical care for the people in a roundabout way - which should be a governmental responsibility. A reason to argue!

From 6 - 9 PM, there will be input sessions, a panel discussion and fishbowls with:

Prof. Silke van Dyk: Theoretical Perspectives on Volunteering
Activist: Women in Exile
Dr. Ulrike Hamann: BIM_ Berliner Institut für empirische Integrations- und Migrationsforschung
Monika Berger: Welcome Initiative 'Berlin-Buch'
Supporters: MediBüro Berlin
Host: Bernd Pickert, die taz

Catering will be provided.

German language with simultaneous translation into English and French
