An American in Paris, in Berlin: Ken Norris, vocals meets Eric Vaughn from Naked Jazz

Songs and stories from the travel log of American singer/musician Ken Norris and featured works from composers Michel Legrand, Eric Vaughn, Mel Tormé and Ken Norris (vocals)

Ken Norris is a Professor for Jazz Singing at the Hochschule für Musik & Theater Hamburg, but he studied architecture at Yale (USA).

With his love for Jazz and improvised music, Norris made his breakthrough in the European music scene in France: three CD releases including Modern Folklore - Musik für Perkussion & Gesang, which was debuted at the Printemps de Bourges Festival in 1996.

For the musical 'The Lion King', he moved to Hamburg, where he became not only a lecturer, composer and arranger, but also a highly sought after soloist for bands and orchestras, such as the Quintett Jean-Paul, the Hessische Rundfunk Bigband, the Lutz Krajenski Bigband and the Hessische Landesjugendjazzorchester.

He is also a frequent guest on NDR in Hamburg. Festivals: Dubai Jazz Festival, Jazz Baltica, Crest Jazz Festival (FR), Printemps de Bourge Festival (FR), Les Nuit de Jazz de Nantes (FR).
