British Council Literature Seminar 2017

26 to 28 January 2017

The British Council Literature Seminar offers students, academics, publishers, translators, journalists and literature fans from across Europe the chance to hear the latest writing from the UK and engage with the writers and their work at first hand.

Join us over three days in January for a mixture of readings, discussions and workshops with the writers Hari Kunzru, Daljit Nagra, Catherine Johnson, Nikesh Shukla, Irenosen Okojie and Sharon Dodua Otoo. The seminar will be chaired by Bernardine Evaristo.

  • Up close with the newest British writing
  • Featuring the UK winner of German language fiction award
  • Discuss the importance of diverse voices
  • Learn from six up and coming British writers
  • Discover what drives their creativity

You can find the programme here: www.britishcouncil.de/sites/default/files/britlitberlin_schedule_2017.pdf

The seminar fee is €150 and there is a reduced fee of €90 for students.

Special offer: the fee for a day ticket for Saturday is €90 (€50 students) and includes a workshop, 2 readings, a panel discussion and the closing party with a concert.
