10 billion people - one planet

FILM WORKSHOP FOR REFUGEES AND OTHER INTERESTED PEOPLE BETWEEN 18 AND 26 YEARS OF AGE

From the 7th to the 10th, and the 14th of February

In 2050, it is predicted that 10 billion people will populate the Earth. 192 countries have agreed to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, yet human rights continue to be violated across the globe. We know that natural resources are finite. It is clear to us that our economic system is based on exploitation. Why aren’t we in a position to negotiate?

We, as professionals, would like to produce and publicly screen films with you.

We will exchange ideas and knowledge about the themes mentioned. You’ll create your own films in groups and be responsible for various roles in front of, as well as behind, the camera. We’ll provide you with equipment, catering and our knowledge as film makers and help you out where and when help is needed. There will also be Arab translation available. Make a documentary, film or music video. Put your ideas into practice. The workshop is free of charge and is financed as part of the Kultur macht stark programme from the Bundesministerium für Bildung in cooperation with the Türkische Gemeinde in Deutschland.

Registration form here.
