Werkstatt der Kulturen presents A Tribute to

Get Jazzucated every Saturday!

It's time for Jazzucation: Swing, Bebop, East Coast Jazz. Every Saturday, the WERKSTATT DER KULTUREN is embarking upon an educational journey through sound with a new tribute every month. Stops include the legendary studio and live albums from the greats: John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Thelonious Monk, Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, ... !

The series A TRIBUTE TO is a new - and one-of-a-kind for Berlin - 'musication concept' curated by US-American drummer and band leader Eric Vaughn. Focusing on a different theme each month, Vaughn highlights the key works of Jazz history, legendary musicians and world-famous composers. As an expert of the Berlin Jazz scene, Vaughn has put together a distinctive constellation of musicians to honor these Jazz giants through interpretation.

A TRIBUTE TO draws on the success of 'A Love Supreme - A Tribute to John Coltrane', a program which delighted nearly 1,000 Berliners at the SACRED MUSIC&DANCE FESTIVAL in November 2013 and BLACK HISTORY MONTH 2014.
